How to Stay Social While Social Distancing
COVID-19 has changed our lives. We may now be more aware of how much we rely on other people for comfort and communication. We may also crave human contact after weeks of isolating in our homes. As a result, it’s important for you to stay social – while maintaining social distancing. To help, we’ve rounded up a few must-know tips.   Stay in Contact While Social Distancing
  • Have a picnic
If allowed, meet up with one other friend from a household in the park for a catch-up, coffee, and snacks. Take your own mugs and snacks and do not share. Remember to sit at least six feet away from the person. While this is much more limiting than what we’re used it, it does help to see a familiar face and catch up with loved ones.
  • Use video calling
If you  cannot see your loved ones face-to-face just yet, give them a call! Better still, video call them so that you can see and hear them. FaceTime and Zoom are popular and allow you to video call more than one person. Video call your friends and family and arrange to have dinner or a coffee together – this simple act will help feel as if you are right there with them.
  • Participate in virtual events
Many gyms, yoga studios, and museums are offering virtual events online for people to join in on the fun! Get active by signing up to a virtual event, whether it’s for something you have missed doing since the start of lockdown or something you’ve never tried before. You may be able to connect with other users in the group, too.   Staying social while social distancing doesn’t have to be difficult.
